Inspiration is far from hard to encounter when working with gorgeous specimens such as these. My only dilemma was doing justice to such stunning butterflies! To do this I opted to go darker in terms of the greenery and tree bark with flashes of white and red to really pop out the colours of the wings and tie everything together. Normally residing in woodland clearings, I wanted to recreate their natural habitat providing a forever picturesque piece they can always feel at home in.
